The Product Operating System

From goal to shipped — one line that never breaks.

Jira shows you what the team is doing. WorkThroughLine shows you why. One click traces any work item back to the goal it serves and forward to the evidence that justified it. Stop guessing whether you're building the right thing.

Why

Strategy lives in slides. Work lives in Jira. In between — a void.

Goals are set in January and forgotten by March. Discovery research rots in a Notion doc. Engineers ship tickets nobody can trace to an outcome. That void between the decision and the delivery is where products quietly fail — no single culprit, no warning.

WorkThroughLine closes the void. Goals are first-class; delivery is the means, never the point. A living trace graph holds the chain together — so "why are we doing this?" stops being rhetorical.

  • Goals & OKRs as the hubObjectives & Key Results are the core — not a tab nobody opens.
  • Tertials, quarters or halvesPick the planning cadence that fits how you run the year — tertials (three four-month cycles), quarters or half-years, configurable per org.
  • One trace graphGoal → OKR → Interview · Opportunity · Experiment · Work item. Follow the line both ways — ask "why?" and get an answer in a second.
  • Multi-tenant & secureRow-level isolation per org, refresh-token rotation, hardened by default.
Product

One system for the whole product loop

Not a tracker with OKRs bolted on. An operating system where strategy, discovery and delivery are one connected flow — not three tools you stitch together by hand.

Strategy

Goals & OKRs as the hub

Set the annual goal, break it into OKRs, and watch every initiative roll up. Leadership sees outcome movement, not closed-ticket counts.

Discovery

Evidence, not opinions

Interviews → insights → opportunities → solutions → experiments — a living opportunity solution tree, each node linked to the OKR it informs. Continuous product discovery with decisions you can defend to anyone.

Delivery

Work that knows its why

A single work-item model: every item is either OKR work or maintenance — never orphaned. Open any ticket and trace it to the goal it serves.

Traceability

The trace graph — our moat

A typed-edge graph links the whole chain. One click answers "what does this serve?" and "what proved it was worth building?". Backlog tools can't.

Planning

Roadmap by tertial

OKRs laid across tertials and grouped by goal. A roadmap that reflects strategy — not a Gantt list of tasks.

AI + trust

Connect Claude Code, safely

Over MCP, AI reads your goals and interviews and drafts opportunities and solutions — scoped to your org only. Row-level security and token rotation by default.

How it works

How the thread is woven

Four steps, one unbroken line.

01

Set the goal

Define the annual goal and the OKRs that make it measurable.

02

Discover

Interview users, surface opportunities, test the riskiest assumptions.

03

Deliver

Turn the winning bets into work items linked straight to their OKR.

04

Trace & learn

Follow the line both ways — outcome to evidence, ticket to goal.

FAQ

Questions, honest answers

How is WorkThroughLine different from Jira, Linear or Asana? +
They start from the ticket. WorkThroughLine starts from the goal. OKRs are the hub, discovery is first-class, and a trace graph links every work item to the outcome it serves — so "why does this exist?" always has an answer. That is not something a backlog tool can bolt on later.
Is WorkThroughLine a Productboard or Aha! alternative? +
For teams that want strategy, discovery and delivery in one product operating system — yes. Productboard centralises feedback and Aha! plans roadmaps, but both hand delivery off to Jira. WorkThroughLine keeps the whole chain — goal → OKR → opportunity solution tree → experiment → work item — in one traceable line, so one tool replaces two or three.
Do we have to abandon our current tracker? +
No. Run delivery in WorkThroughLine, or keep your tracker and use WorkThroughLine for the strategy → discovery → delivery thread on top. Import brings existing work in, so migration is never a prerequisite to start.
Is this yet another tool the team has to learn? +
Less than you think. If you already use OKRs and write tickets, you already do the work — it is just connected now. The demo account ships pre-filled so you can see the flow with zero setup.
What are "tertials" — and can we use quarters instead? +
Tertials are three four-month cycles, closer to how the year really runs. But the cadence is yours to choose — tertials, quarters or half-years, configurable per organisation, no migration needed.
Is our data secure? +
Yes. Every organisation is isolated at the database row level, validated on every request, with refresh-token rotation and reuse detection. Hardened by default, not as an add-on.
Can we connect AI tools like Claude Code? +
Yes. Each organisation mints its own API key and connects Claude Code through an MCP server — it reads your interviews and goals and can draft and create opportunities, solutions and experiments, scoped to your organisation only.
Who is WorkThroughLine for — and not for? +
Product teams aligning leadership, product and engineering — PMs who need evidence, leaders who want outcomes, engineers who want the why. If you only need a bare issue tracker with no strategy layer, a backlog tool is probably enough.
How do I start — and what does it cost? +
