The Product Operating System

From goal to shipped - one line that never breaks.

Jira shows you what the team is doing. WorkThroughLine shows you why. For work linked to an OKR, one click follows the chain back to its goal and forward to the evidence behind it. Stop guessing whether you're building the right thing.

No credit card. Jira import is included.

Why

Strategy lives in slides. Work lives in Jira. In between - a void.

Goals are set in January and forgotten by March. Discovery research rots in a Notion doc. Engineers ship tickets nobody can trace to an outcome. That void between the decision and the delivery is where products quietly fail - no single culprit, no warning.

WorkThroughLine closes the void. Goals are first-class; delivery is the means, never the point. A living trace graph holds the chain together - so "why are we doing this?" stops being rhetorical.

  • Goals & OKRs as the hubObjectives & Key Results are the core - not a tab nobody opens.
  • Tertials, quarters or halvesPick the planning cadence that fits how you run the year - tertials (three four-month cycles), quarters or half-years, configurable per org.
  • One trace graphGoal → OKR → Interview · Opportunity · Experiment · Work item. Follow the line both ways - ask "why?" and get an answer in a second.
  • Multi-tenant & secureRow-level isolation per org, refresh-token rotation, hardened by default.
Product

One system for the whole product loop

Not a tracker with OKRs bolted on. An operating system where strategy, discovery and delivery are one connected flow - not three tools you stitch together by hand.

Strategy

Goals & OKRs as the hub

Set the annual goal, break it into OKRs, and watch every initiative roll up. Leadership sees outcome movement, not closed-ticket counts.

Discovery

Evidence, not opinions

Interviews → insights → opportunities → solutions → experiments - a living opportunity solution tree that connects evidence to the OKR it informs. Prioritize opportunities with a RICE score, not gut feel.

Delivery

Work that knows its why

Link work items to an OKR, opportunity, solution or experiment and trace the reason for the work. Work that is not yet tied to a goal stays visible as development outside a goal.

Traceability

The trace graph - our moat

A typed-edge graph links the whole chain. One click answers "what does this serve?" and "what proved it was worth building?". Backlog tools can't.

Planning

Roadmap by planning period

OKRs laid across your chosen planning periods - tertials, quarters or half-years - and grouped by goal, with a Now / Next / Later view. A roadmap that reflects strategy - not a Gantt list of tasks. Share it read-only with anyone via a public link.

Git + AI

GitHub, GitLab, Codex & Claude

Secure webhooks link branches, commits and pull or merge requests to work items. Hosted MCP gives Codex and Claude Code the full goal-to-evidence context to analyse discovery and work in delivery.

How it works

How the thread is woven

Four steps, one unbroken line.

01

Set the goal

Define the annual goal and the OKRs that make it measurable.

02

Discover

Interview users, surface opportunities, test the riskiest assumptions.

03

Deliver

Turn the winning bets into work items linked straight to their OKR.

04

Trace & learn

Follow the line both ways - outcome to evidence, ticket to goal.

FAQ

Questions, honest answers

How is WorkThroughLine different from Jira, Linear or Asana? +
They start from the ticket. WorkThroughLine starts from the goal. OKRs are the hub, discovery is first-class, and a trace graph makes the reason visible for work that is linked to the strategy chain.
Is WorkThroughLine a Productboard or Aha! replacement today? +
Not yet. WorkThroughLine is strongest as the strategy and evidence layer that connects goals, discovery and delivery. Productboard and Aha! still go further in high-volume feedback, connectors and enterprise portfolio workflows.
Do we have to abandon our current tracker immediately? +
Not on day one. Use the Jira Migration Assistant to connect Jira Cloud directly or upload the original CSV, review the preflight and mappings, verify the result during a short transition, then continue in WorkThroughLine. It supports migration and cutover, not ongoing live sync.
Is this yet another tool the team has to learn? +
Less than you think. If you already use OKRs and write tickets, you already do the work - it is just connected now. Import your existing Jira work and continue without rebuilding the backlog by hand.
What are "tertials" - and can we use quarters instead? +
Tertials are three four-month cycles, closer to how the year really runs. But the cadence is yours to choose - tertials, quarters or half-years, configurable per organisation, no migration needed.
Is our data secure? +
Yes. Every organisation is isolated at the database row level, validated on every request, with refresh-token rotation and reuse detection. Two-factor authentication (2FA) is available per user. Admins can export organisation data as JSON and work items as CSV, and can review an audit log of core strategy, discovery and delivery changes.
Can we connect Codex or Claude Code? +
Yes. Each ADMIN, PM or DEV creates one personal API key and connects Codex or Claude Code to the hosted MCP server. The AI can use goals and explanations, OKRs and key results, interviews, transcripts and summaries, analyses and insights, opportunities, solutions, experiments, delivery context and Git artifacts. Every read or write still follows the key owner's role and is scoped to your organisation only.
Does WorkThroughLine connect to GitHub and GitLab? +
Yes. An admin connects a repository and configures its generated signed webhook. Put a work-item key such as WI-42 in a branch name, commit message or PR/MR and WorkThroughLine shows the linked branches, commits and pull or merge requests on that work item. The connection does not require storing a provider access token.
What do maker, stakeholder and guest roles mean? +
ADMIN, PM and DEV are makers and count as paid seats. They change product data according to their role and can each create one personal MCP key. Stakeholder and guest seats are free: stakeholders have a broad read-only view, while guests see focused context. Neither can edit core strategy, discovery or delivery data or create an MCP key.
How does delivery fit each engineering team? +
Every team can use its own named workflow. The Delivery backlog supports private and shared saved views, while work items support attachments, checklists, parent/subtasks and blocking, related or duplicate links. GitHub and GitLab activity appears on the same work item, so delivery context does not end at the ticket.
Can users outside the team send feedback? +
Yes. Every organisation can enable a public feedback portal with a public changelog at its own address - visitors submit ideas and bug reports and vote without an account, and you decide what becomes publicly visible. Portal submissions enter intake; a product user can then connect an improvement to an opportunity and the trace chain.
Can we share the roadmap with people outside the tool? +
Yes. Admins and PMs create a public read-only link to the roadmap - goals, OKRs, statuses and progress, with no owner names and no delivery details. Links can expire (7/30/90 days or never) and can be revoked at any time.
Who is WorkThroughLine for - and not for? +
Product teams aligning leadership, product and engineering - PMs who need evidence, leaders who want outcomes, engineers who want the why. If you only need a bare issue tracker with no strategy layer, a backlog tool is probably enough.
How do I start - and what does it cost? +
Create an account and import everything from Jira in 5 minutes. No credit card is required. During early access everything is free. After that: a free plan with up to 3 makers, Team at 17,900 RSD/month with up to 10 makers, and Growth at 34,900 RSD/month with up to 30 makers. Stakeholders and guests never pay, on any plan. Every plan includes the whole product, with no feature add-ons.
